Celebrating Wildflowers - Pollinators - The Birds and the Bees

Animations of self pollination and cross pollination - watch closely!

If you look at the wording, it shouldn't be too hard to differentiate between the two types of pollination - self pollination is a plant that can pollinate itself - it has both male and female reproductive structures.  However, with cross-pollination, pollen from one plant must cross over to another plant - this can happen when the wind blows or when pollinators like bees or butterflies move from plant to plant.
