20121206 NH middle school pres.ppt - Google Drive

20121206 NH middle school pres.ppt - Google Drive:  Dan Litchfield of Iberdrola Renewables met with Nottingham's 7th grade students today to discuss wind / renewable energy.  My students asked some great questions including : Are windmills harmful in any way to the environment? How much does it cost to set up a wind farm? How much money can be saved by using wind instead of coal or other fossil fuels to generate electricity?  How does the wind get converted into electricity that Publish Postwe can use?  The ppt presentation used with the students is linked to this post.  If you have questions that you did not get to ask Mr. Litchfield during class today, his email address is on the last page of the slide show.  You can also access the websites for the two current NH Iberdrola projects if you would like to learn more about wind energy.
